The Financial Coach Who's Been Where You Are
Hi, I'm Amanda. I'm a wife, mom of two, certified financial coach, and someone who knows exactly what it feels like to be making great money and still feel broke.
Several years ago, my husband and I were buried in over $186,000 in debt, and that didn't even include our house! We had a household income over $135k, but we couldn't afford daycare. We were stressed, fighting, and wondering how we'd gotten into such a mess.
That's when everything changed. In just 2.5 years, we paid off all of it.
Not because we suddenly made more money. Not because of some windfall or inheritance. We did it by changing our mindset, aligning our finances with our faith, and building habits that actually worked for real life.
Now I help other married moms do the same.
Master's in Finance – Yes, I have the degree. And yes, I still ended up deep in debt. That's when I learned that personal finance has very little to do with math and everything to do with mindset.
Certified Financial Coach – Trained through Dave Ramsey's program
15+ years in finance – Started my career at an investment group right out of college
Small-town California girl – Now living in the Texas Hill Country with my family
What makes my coaching different? I don't just focus on the numbers.
I blend practical financial strategy with mindset work and biblical principles to help you understand why you make the choices you do with money. Because until you deal with the why, no budget will stick.
My coaching is rooted in my Christian faith, but I welcome clients from all backgrounds. I don't preach—I point out that the Bible has been around for thousands of years and specifically talks about finances. If people were struggling enough back then for it to be included, shouldn't we at least see what it says?
My philosophy: Earn. Keep. Grow.
It isn't as important what you earn as much as what you keep and how you grow it.
I live in the Texas Hill Country with my husband and our two kids, a daughter who's full of energy and creativity, and a son who's always figuring out how things work.
When I'm not coaching, you'll find us:
Camping as a family
Having weekly movie nights and game nights
Reading and sewing (when I can find the time!)
Random fact: I'm a small-town girl all the way—I graduated high school with kids I went to kindergarten with.
If I wasn't doing this: I'd probably be a data analyst or automation consultant. I love patterns and systems (which is probably why the math part of finance was never my problem).
Getting out of debt changed our lives. It gave us peace, margin, and the ability to build a legacy for our kids.
But more than that? It showed me that most people aren't struggling because they're bad at math or don't make enough money. They're struggling because nobody taught them a better way.
I knew I was meant to do this work when we paid off our last debt. That feeling of freedom, of finally being able to breathe, I want that for every family who's stuck in the same cycle we were.
My goal is simple: to equip you to manage your own money with confidence and a clear plan. I'll teach you, guide you, and hold you accountable, but you'll always be in complete control of your finances.
